Five Indonesian architectural projects are preparing to take the regional stage at the ASEAN Steel Architectural Awards 2026, scheduled for November 20, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand. These five projects previously received recognition at the Steel Architectural Awards (SAA) Indonesia 2026, organized by the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) in collaboration with PT NS BlueScope Indonesia.
Four projects were selected as winners in the Residential, Industrial, Commercial, and Public & Institutional categories. Another project received the Special Recognition – Lasting Beauty of COLORBOND® Steel award, presented to buildings incorporating COLORBOND® Steel that demonstrate long-term aesthetic value and durability and have been fully operational for at least five years.
Each project demonstrates how coated steel materials can support design requirements, building functionality, and the visual character of modern architecture.

From private residences to commercial facilities and public spaces, here are the five projects selected at Steel Architectural Awards Indonesia 2026.
1. IC House – Exploring Steel Applications in Residential Architecture
IC House by Ar. Jeffri Angkasa, IAI – Angkasa Architects, winner of the Residential category at SAA 2026.

IC House explores the use of steel in roofing and building structures to support flexible spatial arrangements.
This architectural approach is combined with natural lighting to create a comfortable residential environment.
The roofing and structural systems are also designed for long-term use. IC House was selected as the Residential category winner at SAA Indonesia 2026.

Euroasiatic Head Quarter is an office and industrial operations project designed by PT Pandega Desain Weharima.

3. Jakarta Premium Outlet – Commercial Architecture with an Open-Air Concept

Jakarta Premium Outlet is a large-scale commercial development designed to accommodate visitor activities and the operational requirements of retail facilities.
The selection of coated steel materials considers both the spatial characteristics and outdoor environmental conditions.
These materials form an integral part of Jakarta Premium Outlet's architectural design approach, which earned the project the Commercial category award at SAA Indonesia 2026.

Desa Binaan Tampelas is a public and institutional facility designed to support community activities and long-term space utilization.
The application of steel in roofing and structural systems supports construction flexibility and efficient spatial arrangements.
Desa Binaan Tampelas was selected as the winner of the Public & Institutional category at SAA Indonesia 2026.

5. Abadi Klender Center – Recognition for the Lasting Aesthetics of COLORBOND® Steel

Unlike the previous four projects, Abadi Klender Center received the special Lasting Beauty of COLORBOND® Steel award.
The project highlights the application of COLORBOND® Steel, particularly in terms of architectural aesthetics and color durability.
This award category recognizes the ability of materials to maintain their visual character, color, and aesthetic quality despite prolonged exposure to weather and environmental conditions.
The award also coincides with 60 years of COLORBOND® Steel's global journey in 2026, recognizing the application of materials capable of maintaining their aesthetic character and color over time.

Bringing Indonesian Architecture to the ASEAN Stage
The five projects are scheduled to participate in the ASEAN Steel Architectural Awards 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 20, 2026, alongside architectural projects from Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
The overall ASEAN winner will receive an opportunity to participate in a one-week Architecture Learning & Networking Trip to BlueScope's major facilities in Australia.
