Pondok Indah Mall 3 (PIM 3), designed by Ir. Budi Sumaatmadja, is a stunning example of modern architecture. As one of the most iconic destinations in South Jakarta, this mall has captivated the public’s attention and earned a nomination for the 2024 Steel Architecture Award due to its innovative design. By adopting a dynamic urban concept infused with sustainability, PIM 3 seamlessly combines functionality and aesthetics.

Inaugurated in 2021, PIM 3 is part of an expansive development that includes PIM 1, PIM 2, and Office Tower 5. Strategically located on Jl. Metro Pondok Indah, Kebayoran Lama, this area has been designed as a hub for business and lifestyle activities in South Jakarta.

 

Covering approximately 267,000 square meters, Pondok Indah Mall 3 offers a “youth-centric” concept. Under one roof, visitors can enjoy innovative retail experiences, modern workspaces, and an atmosphere that promotes an active and sustainable lifestyle.

PIM 3 stands out with its unique Street Gallery concept, featuring a beautifully curved organic roof that spans the corridors and main atrium. This design is not only visually striking but also maximizes natural lighting, enhancing the mall’s sustainable features.

 

The architectural approach emphasizes the integration of art and ecology. Eco-friendly materials were used to minimize energy consumption, while the bright and open environment encourages active movement among visitors.

To construct this iconic structure, PIM 3 utilizes BlueScope products, specifically COLORBOND® roofing with Lysaght Lockseam profiles (0.55 mm BMT) and Lysaght Spandek Optima (0.35 mm BMT). These materials were chosen for their exceptional durability under heavy loads and resilience against extreme pressures, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
