"Rumah Emak" is a unique project born out of the desire to create a comfortable home for a mother in her later years. Located on the outskirts of Jakarta, this house is designed not only to support the independence of the mother but also to be an efficient and low-maintenance dwelling.

The uniqueness of this project lies in its design approach, which blends modern aesthetics with practical elements. Its location, close to the first child's home, reflects the need for emotional closeness while maintaining the mother's privacy.

Characteristics of Rumah Emak

Rumah Emak is designed with eco-friendly architecture using a "folding" design technique on the facade materials to create a unique visual connection with the surrounding environment. The exterior fence is designed to be complemented by climbing plants, which over time will enhance the natural and green atmosphere.

The house structure is designed to support natural lighting and cross ventilation. This ensures an energy-efficient and healthy living environment for the residents.

One of the key factors contributing to the success of Rumah Emak's design is the selection of materials from BlueScope, especially COLORBOND(R). This material was chosen for its durability in extreme tropical weather conditions due to its high resistance to corrosion. Additionally, COLORBOND(R) is recyclable, supporting the principles of sustainability. The house’s facade is finished with COLORBOND(R) in Off White, while the roof covering is in Gull Grey.
