Located in North Jakarta, the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) stands as a symbol of progress in modern Indonesian architectural design. Covering 66.6 hectares and with a seating capacity of 82,000, JIS is the largest football stadium in Asia, featuring a retractable roof.

In addition to being the home of Persija Jakarta, JIS is designed to support a wide range of major events, from national sports competitions to large-scale concerts.

Characteristics of Jakarta International Stadium

The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) features three levels of seating, providing comfort and optimal views for every visitor. Its main attraction is its architectural design, with a height reaching 73 meters, making JIS one of the tallest stadiums in the world.

The stadium's form is inspired by traditional Betawi clothing, giving it a rich cultural vibe. The outer façade displays a tiger-striped pattern, inspired by the Persija mascot. Additionally, the stadium is connected by pedestrian pathways to the BMW Park, a development area for agro-tourism.

To support the solid and modern construction of JIS, various high-quality products were used, including materials from BlueScope, such as COLORBOND(R) in Gull Grey for the roof covering. COLORBOND(R) was chosen to meet the needs of the roof's covering and the stadium's aesthetic, prioritizing durability and beauty.

Furthermore, the use of COLORBOND(R) ensures resistance to extreme weather conditions. This material also supports the stadium's sustainability, reduces long-term maintenance, and ensures the durability of the stadium’s roof.
